Thank You Stefanie ♥♥♥♥

Today a box arrived in the mail, and when
I opened it, I was so tickled to find my
beautiful Pink Butter Dish, and along with it,
two beautiful vintage ribboned tags, that have
precious cupcakes on them. These were
from
Stefanie @ Rose Petals and Rust.

Click on the graphic below to visit Stefanie.

Stefanie rose

I won her drawing that she had, where she
gave the beautiful pink butter dish as the prize.
The tags were such a wonderful surprise Stefanie.
Thank you so much. It was a little hard to capture
the beauty of the cupcakes on the tags, but if you
look, you can see them. The white one has little
beaded sprinkles and the pink, beautiful pink frosting.
They look good enough to eat. Stefanie,
A beautiful treasure for me.

If you have not visited
Stefanie @ Rose Petals and Rust,

you really most pop over and read her delightful
stories about her family, her famous Louise
who was covered in, yep, you guessed it "roses"
and she now proudly displays Stefanie's jewelry in town in
her space. Her Pink Saturday posts will amaze you
with the most beautiful pink flowers you have ever
set your eyes upon. She loves yard sales in her
spare time. I keep wondering when she has spare
time, but she has it, because she visits yard sales
and finds wonderful eye candy bargains. Please
stop over and say hi. As always, thank you for stopping
by my little piece of heaven, here in the desert, that I
so love to call home. Country Hugs and Love, Sherry

A COOL DREAM.......................,

BY THE SEA SHORE

30th july,2009

thursday1 p.m

dear friends,
here i'm back.. after the short break. hope things are fine with you.it's a sunny day.more fishermen are repairing their nets and getting ready for their early morning sailing.on the road they spread their nets and enjoy the teamwork.many boats are anchored in the sea.
whenever i see the small vanchi,i remember my childhood.we have kanolikanal near by and often we spend the evenings near water.one day achan rowed the vanchi and we children enjoyed the ride thoroughly!what admiration we had for achan!we felt so nice, safe n secure.still that scene is so clear infront of my eyes!

my sparrows are happier and they had brought a sms for me-''anu,you are a butterfly''.i smiled and really felt nice.i wanted to reply,''yes, a butterfly with a lost wing''.

here, wherever you go,you land up in the beach, the valley, the hills and the pubs.it was one evening when i set off myself to the nearby beach and spent some time with the calm waves.can you believe, just being with the nature, close to the water, enjoying the breeze,we change totally.the whole of peace is restored and the happiness spreads.i selected a deserted place as i didn't want to meet anyone and i settled down soon to watch the sunset.
that is the best time of self examination and introspection.there i could see,the laughter, the giggling of a lovely pair far away;but i could see and feel their pleasure.did they remind me of my lost life?did he remind me of soemone else?did i see myself in her?they were in their own world and i was with them!;D

It was a beautiful evening,
the blue sea was calm,
the sea birds were making lots of noise,
and i sat alone, hiding my gloomy heart.
suddenly i saw a lovely pair,
they were in their own world,
splashing water they walked ahead,
holding their hands tightly,
they were laughing n giggling,
sharing the sweet nothings.
so much of life i could feel,
while music was flowing from heart to heart,
i wanted to listen to the mighty waves,
but i was carried away with them,
slowly his hands were holding her,
and she leaned to him and walked,
the waves were kissing their feet,
sitting alone i was watching,
how the love blooms in the sea shore.
i knew, they were full of hopes,
and i did't want to tell them,
where there is light, must shadows be.
they were in their dreamworld,
nothing did they see behind or after them.
i recollected my joys n griefs,
how much i wanted to forget,
once again they took the life;
trust,never do that,friends,
never trust even your shadow.
the sun was going to set,
painting the waters orange n red,
gazing up to the sky,
the moon was smiling.
the wonderful couple whoever they were,
i wish them togetherness always.
as when you don't have anyone to look for,
in a crowd you become lonely.
dreams just they remained as dreams,
and at times the life is meaningless;
a few memories drawn from your life's spring,
it haunts me day n night.
the clouds started roaring above,
and it was going to rain,
i sat by the bank,disconsolate,alone,
and the showers started all of a sudden.
they were catching the rain water,
and they were throwing water on each other,
before,i left,i looked them again;
he was lifting her face with both his hands,
and hugging each other so tightly,
he planted a gentle kiss on her forehead,
caressing her idle trance,
forgetting the rain and thunder!
he must be telling her,
''i will not let you go....................''
and you know, the love line often told!
i hope n pray that girl won't lose her love!
and to sit n cry on the golden memories.
partings are always painful,
but friends,i must say,
it's better to part the ways,
than to live with a broken heart!
when it rains, tears flood from my eyes,
and my heart sinks like an uprooted tree!

it's anu signing off........................

love and only true love remains.adjustments make the peaceful life, but unconditional love gives one the happiness.promises, never give them if you know, they will be the lines drawn in water!all can't shut the door on their past. and they suffer from mental break down.and they struggle to relive their lives.

paying homage to the great actor...........RAJAN P.DEV,
let his soul rest in peace............................

anu loves you all................today's song is dedicated to two of my friends who just love this song, the rain and the picturisation.;D

Enthey kannanu karappu niram..........?[why Kannan is black in colour?]

E nthey Kannanithra karappu niram?

Kalindiyil kulichathinallo....................[is it because you have bathed in Kalindi?]
K aaliyane konnathinaloo....................?[or is it because you have killed Kaaliyan?]
and a bunch of sincere thanks to you, just because of whom this post is written!
Happy birthday to chettan whose grand day is tomorrow and the best celebrations N MANY MANY HAPPY RETURNS to rajaneesh who celebrated his birthday, yesterday ........................;D A BIG GOD BLESS YOU!

wishing you a cool and beautiful evening,

Rings n Things Stash and Crocheted and Beaded Core Strand

This is a design created from items I selected from the delightful folks at Rings n Things for their Blog Partner challenge. I've named it Fire and Water. I absolutely love this 26 gauge gun metal wire! I did a basic crochet chain stitch with just the wire. Provocraft has THE BEST crochet hook set with fabulous ergonomic handles I highly recommend, working with hard wire isn't easy!

When I finished the crocheted core chain off, I used a separate wire to thread crystals and pyrite beads into the chain. In true 'impatient crafter' fashion, I knew I could figure a way around crocheting beads into the core wire, which is futzy and frustrating. I've also done this technique with nylon coated cabled steel wire and I found it a little easier to get fluid stitches, but I love the organic feel of this piece.

I had to create wire wrapped bails for these magma CRYSTALLIZED™-Swarovski Elements coral pendants and I wanted to add more texture so I used some aged brass chain segments. The focal piece is a twist pendant again in this luscious magma color.

I've been playing with wire crochet for a while and I really love the way it looks. It's tough on the fingers, so be prepared, but it's really worth the effort.

I'll be back in the blog saddle on Monday. Until next time...craft on with your bad selves!

xoxo

I Wear My Sunglasses

Why Do You Wear Your Sunglasses?

"Because the sun hurts my eyes darling."

"I wear my sunglasses to make a point mister."

"We just love to wear our sunglasses honey."

"Woof, I wear my sunglasses, because I am tough, Woof."

"I wear my sunglasses because it's a fashion statement, Chickey."

"I wear my sunglasses because I'm a Superstar."

"I wear my sunglasses cuz I'm old and
the sun just plain hurts my eyes."

"Ooh, I wear my sunglasses cuz it's cool man,
yeah that's why I wear mine."

Don't get left BEHIND on the latest fashion craze.
"Does your critter have his sunglasses on?"

I hope you enjoyed this post today, as much as I did putting it together. I wanted to do something simple and fun, and what can I say I love critters. Thanks for stopping by today, as always I love it when you stop by my little piece of heaven here in the desert, I so love to call home. Outdoor Wednesday - Look Out Brookings Here We Come!!

Welcome to Outdoor Wednesday!
Thank you Susan for being a lovely Hostess, and
allowing me to share my Outdoor "Country Wings"
with you and all of the Outdoor Wednesday Bloggers.
Please stop by and visit Susan at:

http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com

We had waited and waited and waited for the day to come.
I was so excited, I was up early waiting for the Super Shuttle
to come and pick us up. We are on our way to Brookings, OR.
We are staying at a Bed & Breakfast right on the ocean.
I hope all of our luggage is on the plane, we can't go back now.
Hold on girls, here we go!!!

At long last we are here. Made it to San Francisco anyway.
Now we have to go to Crescent City, CA. There we get our rental
and then
we drive to Brookings, OR. As luck would have it,
there is a problem with our plane, our flight is delayed.
3 hours later, we arrive in Crescent City, CA. get our car
rental and head out for Brookings, OR. Our journey is
about to begin.
I can hardly wait.

We have arrived, By The Sea B&B! Isn't that just precious?

This is the front of the house. Isn't it charming?

A close up of the door. All stain glass,
and it is so beautiful. I love the gingerbread trim.

Yes, they even have an old man by the sea.

This is the back of the house, which walks right down
to the ocean. The top balcony is off of the owners bedrooms.
We stayed in the angel room which was the middle room
on the lower balcony. There were sliding doors onto the balcony
and you could leave your doors open at night to let the waves
lul you to sleep. You could smell the sea air. It was
absolutely devine. I loved watching the fog roll in.

Here is one of the live star fishes on the rocks.
The tide would go out, and we would walk out there
and gather treasures. I was determined to take one of these home.

Yes Hunny Bunny plucked her right off the rock out of the sea,
just for little ole me! Isn't he handsome? Look at the beautiful
ocean behind him. The rocks are where the seals sunbathed every day.

Look at this little guy we found scurrying along the sand.
Just like Sebastian from: The Littlest Mermaid.

Isn't this breathtaking. We've explored all day.
Let's go out and get dinner! I'd say this is a steak night.

That's the sun setting behind us. I thought it was breath taking.
After dinner they have a room you can go to, and everyone
gets a free piece of fudge. Your choice of flavors. Now this
is my kind of treat. We're off to bed now. We have a reservation
for horse riding in the Oregon Rain Forest early in the morning.

We arrive at the horse farm. I am looking around as
they start to bring the horses out, as I can see they are
going to put me on the big horse. Big Lady gets the Big Horse.
Oh Lord please help me. How am I going to get on and
off this darn thing? Hunny Bunny are you sure about this??
I have never ridden before and I am starting to worry.

Oh and Ladies, yeah they put me on Ragin Cagin, as in raging.
Are you getting the picture here? Hunny Bunny he gets Dominique.
Good ole Cagin didn't like doing anything he was told, and kept
trying to get off the trail. Would just stop dead in his tracks
and not move at all. I got the worse one in the bunch.

Here we are on our horses. They stopped for pictures in the Forest. Now right after these pics were taken we were headed back to the Barn. This darn Ragin Cagin had not done one thing he was supposed to do. He was really making me angry. All at once he sees the barn, and he takes off galloping, with poor me on his back. I am hollering for help. All I can think about was the Farm people asking me if I wanted to rent a helmet in case of an accident, and ofcourse Hunny Bunny saying it would be okay it wasn't necessary, and this horse is running with me on his back. Luckliy the farm guy was able to chase him down and grab the reins. I am thinking girls let me off this darn horse I am so done with this experience. Not what I expected. My first and last horse ride I do believe. Hunny Bunny is still laughing his head off. We're off to dinner, and then off to Gold Beach tomorrow to take the Rogue River Mail Run.

This is a picture of the Gold Beach Bridge that you drive
across to get to the mail run.

Here are Hunny Bunny and I on the mail run boat ride. A couple in
front of us took the picture for our memory album.
Here we are on board
the Rogue River Mail Run. This was the original 64 mail run that
was made daily to the people on the river who otherwise would have
had no mail service. The water is very shallow and you fly down
the river between the sheer 400 foot Canyon Walls. You either
take your hat off, hold on to it, or lose it. Captain Jim
was our guide and man was he a hoot. Hootin Annie
you would have loved him. He was a 4th generation guide
for this river run, and he was so informative. It's a long day.

The scenery was just absolutely beautiful!

You get to stop along the way at your choice of (3) places to have lunch.
They boat pulls up along side the dock, lets you out, and comes back
later to pick you up for the return ride back. We were sunburned, hot, sticky
and tired. Time to go back to the B&B and hit that hottub.
It was calling our name tonight.

We found this great shot on our way out of the Gold Beach area.
I had to get a pic. It has been there for a very long time.

This was the last view we saw before we left for the airport.
I miss the sea, but I have to tell you, "There is no place like home."
I so hope you have enjoyed this vacation with us. We took many
other tours on this trip. I will show them another Outdoor Wednesday.
Hunny Bunny and I had the best time ever. It was the first
time in 32 years that we had been alone. No kids! No grandkids!
It was so heaven. Just Hunny Bunny, me, and the Ocean.
Thank you for stopping by today to spend a little bit of
time with me, in my little piece of heaven here in the desert
I so love to call home. Country Hugs and Love, Sherry
