The Blizzard of 2010!

I was not kidding when I said we had a blizzard...I've never seen this much snow.  I know some of you have, but we're still amazed!  My hubby shot some footage on our little Flip video camera and edited it into the super fun video below.  I hope you enjoy!

Before I run I wanted to share something pretty cool.  The folks from 3L Adhesives are about to launch something called The Shape of Things to Come and I think you're going to like it. One lucky subscriber is going to win $100.00 in free adhesive if you sign up in February! I am a HUGE fan of their tape runners. Just go to their website and follow the links to the Shape of Things to Come and sign up for the newsletter. That's it! Intriguing isn't it?!

Also thanks to all of the folks out there who have cross posted my blog links.  I really appreciate it!  I hope to have a list for you tomorrow and if I leave anyone out, please let me know so I make sure to get you in there next week.

Until next time...craft on with your bad selves.  Enjoy the video!

More Snow and Round Two with The Grumpy Phlebotomist

I had a meeting this morning at QVC.  In typical Madge fashion, I spilled an entire cup of coffee all over the table mid meeting.  While mopping up said aforementioned spilled coffee, I recalled thinking earlier, "Seek a lid, Madge, you might spill the coffee." I should probably have followed through on that thought.

Thankfully the meeting went well in spite of the spillage and it looks like I should have some great new products to share with you on the Q in the near future.  Huzzah!

We're super excited that another Nor'easter is poised to dump even more snow on us tomorrow.

Yay.

I'm off for another fun filled face off with The Grumpy Phlebotomist.

Yay.

What could be more fun than another foot of snow and more nerve damage to my left arm?

Yes, Virginia, that was sarcasm.

I'll be back tomorrow with a few more Valentine's Day ideas for iLoveToCreate!  Until then...craft on with your bad selves.

Schtuff, Nonsense and Blather...and Madge's Ever Changing Moods.

Our Little Amish Valley

Yes, I'm trying on new templates again.  I get bored easily.  I'm impatient, have I mentioned that? I found a great site after visiting Lorelei Eurto's blog this morning.  Thank you for sharing the link, Lorelei. BTW-if you've not visited her blog and seen her exceptional design work, you really should.  The Blogger Templates site has got a ton of great templates, but this one with the combination of music and art seemed to suit me perfectly.  I am a performer and a designer after all.  I love the way she's orchestrating her reality, because I believe we are all orchestrating our lives. I also like these colors a lot.  These are the sorts of colors with which I have decorated my home.  Is that surprising?  I like a home that makes people feel warm, welcomed and invited to stay a while.

Okay I changed my mind again!

I'm girding my loins (is it just me or is that the best expression...ever?!) for the pending Nor'easter that's headed our way this afternoon.  I don't like snow.  I mean I like the way it looks, but I don't really like the reality of it.  I'd much prefer to see it in a picture than in my yard.  Maybe it's because I had to shovel so much of it for the five years we had our gallery.  Or maybe it's because cold air and asthma don't really get along very well.  Or maybe it's because I'm a hot blooded tropical kinda gal.

Yup, that's it.

I shall simply close my eyes and imagine myself in a lovely shirred Esther Williams style bathing suit, large straw hat, sarong and platform sandals swinging in a hammock by the ocean as the tropical breezes gently wash over me and I sip a tasty beverage from a pineapple served by a cabana boy.  Ah...that's much better.
