I Cried Wee-Wee-Wee...All the Way Home...

Yes I did. I cried for JOY...
All the way home.
From the Mall.
Let Me tell you the story.

This Is My Sis Marydon.
She loves PINK.
She is the Queen of PINK.
She also loves
ROSES.
Now isn't she just the sweetest
Little thing you have ever seen?

She's taught me:
Jewels aren't everything.
They make a girl feel better.
But they aren't LOVE.

She said to always,
ALWAYS, Take time to
Smell the Flowers.
Live today as if it were
Your Last.

Always get at least 8 hours of
sleep each night. We don't want
to wake up with wrinkles and bags
under our eyes. (I was always
wondering how I got those baggy
looking things.)

When she said to soak up a few rays,
A girl has to have a little color on her cheeks,
Oh boy did I laugh. I thought she meant my
Chi-chis. Wee! Wee! Wee! All the way home.
Can you believe I can get my little legs so high?

Marydon taught me how to paint a
room with style. She mixes a few colors
if Home Depot can't give her the color
she desires most. Oh what fun this lesson was.

Never judge a book by its cover.
Sometimes the oink is worse
than the bite. Gotta love her.

See that's the part I was getting to.

I have been dreaming about a sewing
machine for a very long time.

Mine
couldn't be repaired.
Well today I got
an early
Anniversary and Birthday
gift
all rolled
into one.

Sis and Bro bought me a sewing
machine.
I did, I did. I cried
Wee...Wee...Wee...
All the Way Home.

Oh Sis...Right back at you.
Kisses to you sweetie. I am so
darn tickled pink. I will post
some pictures of me sewing soon.
After the way my week started out,
This has turned out to be the BEST.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

As always,
thank you for stopping by,
my little piece of heaven,
here in the desert,
that I SO love to call home.
Country hugs and much love,

Product Review: Hot Glue Gun Helpers

I was so excited when my crafty pal Cathie Filian from HGTV's Creative Juice first showed me the new line of glue gun tools she and Steve Piacenza developed for Plaid. If you've ever been burned by a hot glue gun, you'll be blown away by this super smart set of tools to prevent that from ever happening again!

The set includes a craft mat, which is a great surface to work on because the glue will not stick to it and it protects the surface underneath from getting burned. You also get finger caps made of the same non-stick and heat resistant material, so now you can press down into the hot glue safely. You also get a kicky little pair of tweezers to help you pick up smaller elements and place them into hot glue and on items you're decorating. There's a little paddle for soft pressing and a thicker press wand for heavy duty pressing and smearing the glue. Five simply fabulous tools all in a perfectly perky shade of pink.

Do I love these tools? Does a bear like honey?

This is an absolute 'must have' for any serious crafter. You can find out more about them here and you can buy them here!

Cheers,
Madge

I was sent a sample of this product for review, but I was not compensated. The opinions in this post are entirely my own. I don't review it if I don't love it. Period.

Thank Heavens This Monday Is Over...

I woke up this Morning.

Happy as a Mouse could be,

For a Monday.

Even jumped on the bed a little.

Got my Hair Washed.

Ooh that always feels so good.

Brushed My Teeth.

Love that Fresh Breath Feeling.

Got to Work.

Was Trying to Get a Few Projects

Done, and Suddenly...

NOTHING!

My computer CRASHED.
Oh NO. I HATE Mondays.

To top it off,
there was NO heat in the building.

It was 59 degrees at my desk.
I wonder if that
is what happened
to my computer. Maybe it

froze like a popsicle.

Talk about a cloud over my head.

Why oh why, when I always

Have SO much work to get done.

Seeing as how it was SO cold.

Several of us were drinking HOT tea,

just to warm up our hands.

Watched a few co-workers PIG out

on snacks. There is always one in the

bunch, that gets caught with their hand

in the cookie jar. (Jelly bean jar in this case.)

Made a few notes on things

that I need to do tomorrow.

If they get my computer fixed.

Dreamt about FUN days that I have

had this past year with my friends.

Can't wait to get going this year.
Dragonflies? Oh my...

But most of ALL...

I thought about tomorrow.

The SUN will come out tomorrow.

I want to feel the warmth of the SUN

on my bones.  I want my computer back.

Please keep the heat working tonight. It took

until almost 10am to get it going today and I

go in at 5:30am. My NOSE was as cold as a

popsicle for sure.

As always,

thank you for stopping by,

my little piece of heaven,

here in the desert,

that I so love to call home.

(I love sharing with you all.)

Many hugs and much love,

Sooners Take The Fiesta Bowl...

And Boy Did We Get

The New Year Off To

A Great Start...

The Oklahoma Sooners Took The

Fiesta Bowl. I LOVE my Sooners.

Gotta LOVE Bob Stoops.

He has led the Sooners to

MANY Championships.

Way to Go Big Bob.

Yeah SOONERS!!!!

When we moved here

to Arizona, I became a fan of

my new home state, but when it

comes to college football, my heart
 will
always be with the SOONERS.

When they are on the field, I am

watching from my recliner. I don't

miss a game.

My flag flies proudly out front.

Yes, they came to Arizona to WIN.

They CAME...

They CONQUERED...

They WON!!!
