A great explanation about work today and in the future - Lyndon Larouche?

Here's a new post for the festive season.

Allah

See the comments below the stories in Malaysiakini, Malaysia-Today, The Malaysian Insider etc on the High Court's verdict on Allah = God (= Jesus Christ?).

Already these commentators are saying that a higher court - the Appeals Court, the Federal Court - will overturn the the High Court's decision, ie if there is an appeal by the government.
In other words, they are behaving exactly like the opposition had done, time and again.

They accept a court's decision only if it backs their position.
And their position is simple: They must always win. 100 per cent of the time.
If they don't, then the court has been bought over, it is controlled by Umno, by narrow-minded Malays, the judges are corrupt.
If they won, Jesus Christ be praised, the truth prevails.

People do not want to see the danger in this, that I have repeated many many many times in this blog. You cannot go to the court, and accept only rulings that back your pleadings and theories.

If you do, then Malaysia is doomed, because you are saying the judges are corrupt. But mind you, if they won (the opposition, the NGOs, and now the church), then everything is fine with the courts.

With this kind of attitude, I wonder it is not time to just appoint Pakatan Rakyat politicians to become judges.
Because then Malaysia will always make court decisions that they could shout loudly from the rooftops as being fair.

This rant is not about today's court decision.
But about how Malaysians should see court judgements.

Oh yeah, Happy New Year.
Let me sulk at one corner.
Worrying about the future of a once-great economy.

Straight from my heart;

For your love,support,encouragement and cheer!

You know I love you,wholeheartedly.

Let me express my gratitude for your kindness.

I don't like to remember the tears,

Knowingly or unknowingly caused.

But I want to carry the joy,

You have generously showered on me.

When just hours are left,

For the dawn of The New Year,

I want to wish you All The Very Best,

For A Happy and Prosperous New Year!

A life filled with love and trust!

May the moments be special,

When you spend the time with your dear ones,

Let your presence make the difference,

And always be longed for!

Give a sweet smile and an inspiring word,

Look towards the flowers and butterflies,

The birds and the squirrels.

The nature is the best school,

That teaches us valuable lessons free of charge.

I'm sharing my true experiences,

And hope they will be useful for you too.

I'm really happy,I've come across,

Wonderful friends like you.

My emotions take words and reach you,

And they are always true;

Come to me without inhibitions,

But let me be free in my space.

I strongly believe,you're good,

You just can't be rude with me.

I have always tried to improve my ways,

Still,if I have hurt you,I'm sorry!

I just can't leave here,

Without wishing you A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Each one of you have left such imprints,

That will be deep n clear for ever.

Climate Change and the Effects on the World?

Climate change is meant to happen and has been happening for over millions of years. We go the hottest and coldest temperatures records that show prof this. It is not Co2 (carbon) that is causing the global warming. It is the Sun and there are spikes in the heat that has been transmitted all over. Carbon taxes is just to make developing nations unable to compete and build. Here are some of the effect but don't be overly worried about global warming think on how we need to stop waste! Think of ways to use alternative energy!

Some New Advice for a New Year

(The divine Ms. Carmen Miranda)

I've got my work cut out for me as I head into the New Year. Three major design projects are all standing shoulder to shoulder and gawking at me slack jawed and sans inspiration shuffling their feet and sighing deeply. Rattling around in my brain are the seeds of some ideas that are, of course, fraught with potential for craftastrophic events. Most of what I do is challenge the impossible, stretch the acceptable and defy the laws of physics. My process is akin to that of a mad scientist. I get an idea and then I do whatever it takes to make that idea coalesce into a tangible design.

There are threads that run through my work...but for me, for the most part, each new design is a unique entity with a specific aesthetic and core concept. My eclecticism is my strength as a designer and on the flip side it is my greatest challenge. That's usually the way it works. Most artists have a very distinct style you can point to and say...oh that's so and so. My work doesn't have that continuity. My brain simply doesn't work that way. It's constantly moving at the speed of light in multiple directions. I may riff on a theme for a while, but eventually I get bored and move on. I truly love so many things...so many styles of design, art, music, decor, cuisine, literature...it all excites and inspires me. If there is one definitive thread in my work I think it's the narrative element. I love to tell stories. I like to create a collection of thematically related concepts and then when the story is full developed, move on to a new story.

It's important to develop your style, your sense of who you are and what you're trying to say with your work. If you're influenced by other artists (and no matter what anyone tells you, we all are) then you need to create a dialog and not just create derivative concepts that lack any of your special sauce. If you look at the work of other artists and think, "Crap...I'll never do that." You're right. So what?! What is it about you that makes you unique, extraordinary, fabulously you? What resonates for you visually...viscerally? What can you do that no one else can?

Wild thing, what makes your heart sing?

The more you can tap into that vein...the deeper, richer and more fascinating your work will become. The more you can allow yourself to dance on the edge, to risk looking ridiculous and to leave the safety of the same old crapadoodle, the better. I often look at craft magazines, blogs and books and feel as if everyone is drinking the same design Kool-Aid. The first time you see a new idea you think, "Wow, that's cool." After a while of seeing that same idea being played ad infinitum you think, "Ugh, that again?" You can mine what's 'hot' for some inspiration, but then let that go or you'll just be another face in the crowd.

Create without filters my fine friends. Color outside of the lines. Spit in the face of convention. Forget the rules. Risk, dare, dream. Live out loud. People will probably point and laugh...but so what. I spent a good portion of my youth being laughed at and making myself smaller. Then I said, "Fuck it." Yeah, I did.

Now who's laughing?!

My goal here is to inspire you to let go of the need to fit in and to become you. I don't always get it right and I'm on my journey too...but I try my best to be transparent.

Your mission in life is to become you. Your life is a process of becoming. Take this New Year by the you know whats and go for it! You may not feel comfortable, but you'll feel the unbridled zeal of being fully and completely free.

Become you and on the way, share that with others. That's the point. Create a life of abundance. Pass it on.

Carpe Gaudium. Seize joy.

Love
Madge

Bekas president Indonesia, Gus Dur, meninggal

From Allah we came. Unto Him will be our return.
He will be buried in Jombang, East Java on the last day of 2009.

He was the former head of Indonesia's largest Muslim organisation, Nahdhlatul Ulama (see PICTURE of NU's logo).
He was founder of Islam-leaning political party, Partai Kebangkitan Bangsa or Pay Kah Bey (PKB), which is today part of the government coalition.

After Suharto's fall, he is credited with giving more rights to minorities such as allowing the Chinese dragon dance.
And he was always opposed to turning Indonesia - an archipelago of 17,000 islands, 5,000 of them occupied by humans - into an Islamic state as interpreted by people these days.
Imagine the chief or former chief of a Malaysian Islamic-based party or organisation - PAS or Abim - saying this openly.
Kena keroyok, beb! Kit Siang will be so shocked/syiok, he will call for a Royal Commission of Inquiry.

This was Gus Dur said:
"Negara kita bukan milik satu orang atau sekelompok orang, tapi milik bersama, karena itu NU sejak Muktamar di Banjarmasin pada tahun 1935 sudah menegaskan bahwa mendirikan negara Islam itu tidak wajib."

iLoveToCreate: As Time Goes By Mixed Media Necklace

"You must remember this,
A kiss is just a kiss,
A sigh is just a sigh.
The fundamental things apply,
As time goes by."
As Time Goes By by Herman Hupfeld

I couldn't resist another silhouette project for New Year's Eve after I recalled this lovely Dover books image. This delightful necklace is a small momento of an evening that will pass far too quickly. We spend New Year's with our family noshing on tasty appetizers and playing games. This seemed like the perfect something extra to give Avalon on New Year's this year. Shhh...don't tell it's a surprise!

The image is permission free and available from Dover Books. The text is easy to print out on your computer, use an ink jet if you want to create an image transfer with Collage Pauge. The Tulip crystal accents add some sparkle and the gun metal chain carries through the Victorian feel.

As Time Goes By
Mixed Media Necklace
iLoveToCreate Teen Crafts
Copyright 2009 Margot Potter
"Mom crafted, kid approved."

Materials
1.5" gun metal finish pocket watch locket (or other round metal frame with glass will work)
Dover silhouette sized to fit inside of the locket/frame
10 4mm clear AB CRYSTALLIZED-Swarovski Elements bicones
Printed "Happy New Year 2010" in French Script MT 22 pt.
1.5" clear acrylic Tim Holtz idea-ology Fragments oval
Tim Holtz idea-ology gun metal link chain
Traci Bautista's Collage Pauge Glossy
Aleene's Glass and Bead Slick Surfaces Adhesive
Aleene's Quick Dry Tacky Glue
Aleene's Stop Fraying
Tulip Glam It Up clear crystals
20 gauge annealed iron wire

Tools
Pen or pencil
Scissors
2 pairs chain nose pliers
Round nose pliers
Memory wire shears
Electric Drill with 1/6" bit

1. Size image to fit your frame. Print image and adhere to inside of frame with a thin layer of Collage Pauge. Allow to dry. While drying adhere a crystal accent using Tacky Glue. Before you close the frame, if you are using a locket style, add the crystal bicones.

2. Mark and drill a hole in the bottom center of your acrylic tile.

3. Print text. Trace around text using acrylic shape as a guide. Cut out and adhere text to back of shape with Collage Pauge. Spread a thin layer of Collage Pauge on the back. Allow to dry but not completely, so for about five minutes or so. When still a little wet GENTLY remove upper layers of paper from back of tile. I left paper in the center under the text because I liked the cloudy, vintage look it created. If you want to remove all of the paper, allow the paper to dry completely, wet your finger and gently remove paper by rubbing it off in thin layers. This creates an image transfer, but be aware that you may lose some of your text if you remove all of your paper.

4. Glue crystals to right front edge of your acrylic tile with Slick Surfaces adhesive. Allow to dry. (A toothpick with bee's wax or the Quicker Poker Picker Upper Tool will help you transfer the crystals from the glue to the tile.)

5. Cut a 2" section of annealed iron wire with Memory Wire shears. Bend the center of the wire over your index finger to create a hook shape. Use pliers to bend one hook end into a larger loop that will fit into the drilled hole of your acrylic tile and one into a loop small enough to fit inside of your chain link using your round nose pliers to assist you. See photo for reference. (I have detailed tutorials with pictures for this in my books if you need further instruction.)

6. Create 10mm annealed iron jump rings by wrapping the wire around a 10mm dowel and using the Memory Wire shears to clip the coil you've removed from the dowel into rings. (I have detailed tutorials with pictures for this in my books.)

7. Attach the hook to the bottom of your acrylic tile using chain nose pliers to secure hook closed.

8. Attach the chain to the top of your acrylic tile using a jump ring. Attach a jump ring to the top of your locket and slide this on the chain.

9. Finish by tying a small bow around the jump ring at the top of your acrylic tile. Seal the ribbon ends with Aleene's Stop Fraying.

Politik Malaysia - menghancurkan team sendiri

Terpegun selalu saya sebagai pemerhati politik Malaysia.
Bukan kerana apa.

Baik aku undi PR.
Tapi esoknya, PR pulak buat hal!

Takkan perampok nak angkat tangan mengaku salah?

- Alamak!

Kalau dah tengok musuh lagi sesak, kita sepatutnya terus menyeranglah, 'bang.

Ish ish ish.

A TOUCHING FAREWELL NOTE!

THAT MADE THE EYES WET!

29th,December,2009

Tuesday

Dear Friends,

Good Morning!

Today is hartal;so no going out.just be at home n write a post.I failed even to have the morning temple darshan.here,any day bandh takes place causing difficulties to the public.the precious day is gone being unable to take own vehicle to the road.no use of complaining as the system will not change.yesterday was Swargavathil Ekadashi.Unnikannan looked so beautiful with all decorations in Thiruvambadi Krishna Temple.there were lots of special poojas and cultural programmes.The temple elephant Unnikrishnan looked majestic.

Friends,today I want to share a very personal poem,written by Nanda,my only sister, years before.I have written a lot about my parents and Nanda in the earlier posts.this was written with a heavy heart on the previous day of resigning from the post of the Officer in an International Bank.She has been very sincere and punctual.she believes,'work is worship'.her services were appreciated by every staff.She was an asset to the organisation.

When I went to Dubai,I had been to Nanda's bank.I felt so proud n happy to see my sissy in such a responsible position.She looked beautiful in formal wear.

Many of us may go through this day in life.it is a touchable formal function to say bye.One is really lucky if he/she can carry the pleasant memories in the journey of the rest of life.

Dear All,

My heart skips a beat when I say goodbye to all of you after working with this excellent organisation for a period of long years.

I will be treasuring the fond memories of my life span with this prestigious organisation where my heart and soul belonged to.......................

Those precious moments.........

some happy and some sad................

Those inspiring Morning shouts........

Those friendly visits by the Manager.................

ThoseTeam works.........those floor walkings,those customer assistance.....

Those handling cheque returns,those clearing doubts of peers,

Those M/Lpresentations,those handling complaints,

Those breakfasts,those lovely parties,

And countless such small pleasures.

I will miss them all,I will treasure them all.

It's painful to say goodbye;

Tears roll down from my eyes,

While I'm writing these lines;

I love you all,I love my work.

I considered this as my prime duty,;

It was my soul n heart.

Still I have to say bye to all............

For a nobler cause,I believe in;

For the most precious person in my life,my MOM!

Who has made me what I'm today,

With her priceless love and sacrifices...........

Thank you God for giving me,

The privilege to be the part of,

This excellent organisation.............

For such a long period.

I have learned lessons from each one of you,

Irrespecive of your posts,

And I'm indebted to you all.

For all the love and all the support showered on me,

Thank you one,Thank you all............

Pardon me please if I have hurt your feelings,

Knowingly or unknowingly

Each one of you have a safe place in my heart......

Let me bid good bye with a humble request,

Keep me in your heart and include me in your prayers,

Bless me and continue your sweet love for me.......

This is an end of my career here,

And the beginning of new life in a different role!

seeking your prayers and blessings,

Let me take leave of you!

As words just won't come out in the farewell meeting,

I decided to write this mail for you.

Friends,

the love n care shown by Nanda's colleagues are wonderful.one must be lucky to work in a pleasant atmosphere.we have to cooperate n adjust with others.From the feedbacks and appraisals received we know that Nanda is so committed to work.her services were valuable.she always has a sweet smile on her lips and soft words for the clients.she wins the heart so easily.[I am a loser!]Nanda enjoys the fruits of her hardwork,peace and pleasing nature.her absence is always missed as the helping hands are strong.:)as her colleagues said,Nanda is o sweet a person to be forgotten.the farewell note made many cry and the function was so touching!they still cherish the moments worked with her.She guided the juniors so patiently and a cordial relation was established.

I am the loud speaker of my family.But before 2009 draws the curtain,I want to announce that my Amma,Nanda write better than me.

It's Anu signing off........................

The birds are making the special sound,''kooooooooooooo,kooooooo'.the sky is cloudy;but my mind is clear.my heart is filled with soft feelings.:)I feel like singing a song;which is your choice?

Bhul se kabhi hame bhe yaad kiya karo,

Pyar nahi to shikayat hi kiya karo!:)

Wishing a peaceful wonderful Prosperous New Year-2010,

Reminding you Anu loves you so deeply,

Sasneham,

Anu

Saya banyakkan wirid (chessss sabah).

Tapi kalau kat Singapore ni, nak lawan budak Melayu menyanyi, berjoget, atau main bola memang susah.
Baguslah.
Melayu ni kat Temasick macam orang negro kat Amerika.

Terus masuk longkang
Sengaja I cakap gini biar dapat respon dari keturunan Sang Nila Utama.

Baca di sini.

A MIND FILLED WITH THE VOICES OF LOVE!

Sunday

9p.m

Dear Friends,

Good Evening!

After many years,I had been to theatre yesterday night to watch Three Idiots.I am a die hard fan of Chetan Bhagat and decided to watch the movie in an just 0.k theatre.I simply liked Aamir a lot with Kareena!it was difficult to sit for hours together just watching a movie.I can hardly sit for half an hour at a stretch. I get restless.Peanuts won't help to make me sit even in a theatre.people were whistling and clapping as and when their favoiurite heros appear on the screen.I wanted to join them;but I don't know how to whistle.:) It was a strange experience of watching and listening to the reactions of the public.it was a house full show.Aamir has spring in his feet n the facial expressions are cool.at times,a change is good!

anyways I enjoyed reading the novel than watching the movie.
holidays are going to get over soon and once again it's time to pack the bags.going back from Amma n dear ones,specially on new year day makes it so tough.this is a real break from the hectic schedule.short breaks are very much needed to get recharged n reconnected.Imagine spending the first day of the New Year in the cool compartment of the train!

When the year 20o9 is fast drawing to a close,

I want to express my sincere gratitude

To the voices filled with love n care!:)

They came from many corners,

From known n unknown hearts.

My days were filled with cheer;

And my nights were coloured by dreams.

I know my words've touched your hearts,

And the voices started flowing;

That was an amazing experience;

Waiting for the loving voices,

They came in the form of,

Morning and good night calls,

Refresing n positive mails and forwards.

The care n concern shown are unforgettable,

I never knew I could weave a web;

Of love n friendship around me.

If you were hurt by my ignorance,

I must tell you 'Sorry guys';
If I had kept silence,
I was suffering a lot;but I never wanted to express.

An emotional soul doesn't like to get hooked;

I just don't pretend and I can't do,

So more thorns are on the way;

You may play with fire,not with hearts,

All the scars can't be wiped off,dear.

I don't know what lies ahead for me;

But noone knows that,I bet.

Anyways,it has been a journey,

Of surprises and new connections;

It's so difficult to eliminate someone from the contact list;

But for peace of mind I had to do that.

I am not guilty as I am too generous,

But if I don't learn from my experiences,

My pillows will be wet causing sleepless nights.

As Anu loves all of you sincerely n deeply,

You want me to see all in smiles.:)

Thanks for your company n comments,

Each and every word is cherished forever!

Wishing you A Pleasant n Prosperous New Year,

I't's Anu signing off............................

Dearies,

I need you a lot in the rest of my journey in blogosphere.You are my source of inspiration.I always meant good and never like to carry the unpleasant and heavy baggage to the New Year.
Let our friendship be evergreen.Please try to give a new meaning to the term of Friendship with Anu with honesty n sincerity.:)

Wishing you a wonderful evening,

Waiting for the mild showers,

Requesting you to carry Anu's love with you,
Expecting that all of you can hear the voice of love,
From Anu's pure heart which skips a beat
At the very sight of your views n reviews,

Sasneham,

Anu

Christmas Weekend TastyLinks!

Happy Holidaze!
A new dishwasher! Huzzah!

I do hope you had a wonderful time with friends and family whatever you may celebrate this time of year. I cooked for twelve without any major incident...and it all tasted incredibly yummy! Huzzah! We've got enough stuffing to feed a small army and lord knows I don't want to eat it all or my arse will be the size of Texas come February...but I did come up with an incredibly evil idea.

Deep fried stuffing balls.

Yes, it's so wrong and yet...so right! I'm half tempted to make them. Heck maybe we could dip them into cheesy fondue in our new fondue pot...hmmm...

Santa got me a Canon EOS and I'm beside myself with excitement! A real camera! Not just one with a small bird inside that pecks the pictures on to a rock! YAY! Santa got my hubby a dishwasher! After years of hand washing, it's a pretty big dealio. I cook, he cleans. Seems like a fair exchange.

We're enjoying a lazy holiday weekend before we get back to the grindstone a little and then have one last party. Then January is full tilt CHA prep! Eek!

I've got an appointment with the 'hair fairy' on Monday so...until Tuesday...craft on with your bad selves!

xoxo
