In The Jungle...

He said:

"Oh My Gosh!!!!

Somebody please tell me,
 I am dreaming. Now where

has she gotten off to?

(Loud Roar)....

What have you done to me?

I only napped for 2 hours."

She said:

"Dear, now calm down.

You aren't dreaming. It will

wash out. It is the latest

for Pink Saturday.

Ms Beverly will be

SO pleased."

He said:

"Dear, READ MY LIPS.

I am the KING of the jungle.

I DO NOT do Pink.

You had better get those paws

wet, and start cleaning. I have

a HUNT tonight, and PINK is

not the color of choice.
must be cleaned as
white as snow
.

Sorry Ms Beverly,

I am not a Pink sort of KING."

She said:

"Scoot on over here dear,

and I will have you white as snow.

You will be ready for the hunt,

and there will be NO Pink in sight."

He said:

"Oh my word!!!

What have you done now?

What are the guys going to think?"

To late now, I have no choice but to

head out for the night. Must she always

take me literally. White as snow,
she says.
(ROAR loud)...

Today I am joining:

Ms Beverly @How Sweet The Sound
for Pink Saturday.

Please pop over and visit a few

of the other pinkies. I know

they would love to have you

stop by as well.

As always,

thank you for stopping by,

my little piece of heaven,

here in the desert,

that I so love to call home.

Truth about Wall Street and The Financial Crisis - Jesse Ventura

Wall Street is the financial district of New York City. It is also the name of the street running from Broadway to South Street on the East River. Over time Wall Street came to signify a geographic location encompassing a commercial downtown Manhattan neighborhood as well as signifying the historical financial center of the United States. The term has become a metonym signifying New York-based financial interests. It is the first permanent home of the New York Stock Exchange, the world's largest stock exchange by market capitalization of its listed companies. Anchored by Wall Street, New York City is one of the principal financial centres of the world.

Several major U.S. stock and other exchanges have headquarters on Wall Street and in the Financial District, including the NYSE, NASDAQ, AMEX, NYMEX, and NYBOT.

Wall Street is important in a nation such as the United States in which former president Calvin Coolidge once remarked "The business of America is business" and in which rising stock markets are called bulls and falling markets are called bears.

Conspiracy Theory Jesse Ventura
Jesse Ventura was born in 1951 in Minneapolis. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he joined the Special Forces and served as a UDT/SEAL from 1969 to 1973. After being honorably discharged from the Navy, he returned to Minnesota and, while attending community college, started training to become a professional wrestler. Ventura began his successful professional wrestling career in 1975. In the early to mid '80s, he moved from performing in the ring to color commentator. In 1987, Ventura starred alongside fellow future governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in the hit film Predator. He has gone on to be featured in numerous films and television shows, including a fan-favorite appearance on The X-Files playing a "Man in Black." The 1990s saw Ventura enter the political arena, serving as Mayor of Brooklyn Park, Minn., and in 1998 as Governor of Minnesota. After he left office, Ventura was a visiting fellow at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government. He is a New York Times best-selling author of five books and currently resides in Minnesota and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

This, that...and the other.

Pretty in Peeps Necklace by Margot Potter for ILovetoCreate
Follow this Link for Instructions

Okay so look, I sometimes feel as if my straw pile keeps me so busy I start to drift away and the rest of the things in my life, like my friends and this blog and my stray eyebrow hairs and even my ever growing pile of magazines start to feel like they're just out of reach.

I'm still here, plugging away at it all with the new job and our move into our new home and the buying of gee gaws and hoozits to decorate the new home which was initially going to be decorated in Cabin Chic but after the purchase of two giant reclaimed tin roosters from Mexico at our local Home Goods...is now veering into folk art kitsch...

Inhale.

Exhale.

So in lieu of a new project or a thought provoking blog post about the deeper meaning of string...

I wanted to reshare one of my all time favorite of favorite projects...ever.

If you like this one you may also love my Peeps Bouquet along with the tale of misfortune that accompanies that post.

I think Peeps are so cute I could just eat them up.

Well I could.

So could you.

I mean, they're edible. Duh.

Until next time...craft on with your bad selves.

xoxo

Burung

Sibuk satu Malaysia berbual tentang burung terperangkap atau terbang dari spa, maka saya nak masuk topik hobi saya.
Apabila kita mengumpul setem, susah jugak beb.

Misalnya ramai suka kumpulkan setem, dari negara mana pun, yang bertemakan Bunga = all stamps with a flower theme.

- tema Angkasawan = baik first man in space Yuri Gagarin dari Russia, mahupun the first landing on the moon oleh Amerika, atau angkasawan Maysia.
- Kupu-kupu.

- Perubatan dan Kesihatan (medicine and healthcare).

Di Internet murah sikit, US$50 (S$65/RM156).
Ye eleh, kita panggil setem baru (New Stamps), lagi mudah.

Jika setem dah CTO (Cancel To Order) atau dah terpakai = Used Stamps, kumpulan lapan setem ni lebih kurang setengah harganya.
Gambaq kat atas tu jika kamu lihat, semua setem dah kena cop kat pejabat pos. Maknanya CTO stamps.

Setem dibeli dengan berkumpulan, bukan satu persatu (you buy the whole set, not one by one).

Untuk setem dari Maysia, jika nak harap naik harga, belilah FDC = First Day Cover = Sampul Surat Hari Pertama.
Setem lapan setem burung 1965 tu S$100. Tapi FDC setem ini harganya ialah S$300! Sebab payah nak jumpa.

Jika kamu main setem China, mereka tak suka setem FDC. Mereka gemar Miniature Sheets = seperti GAMBAR atas Burung Migrasi dan Burung Unik.
Dipanggil juga Mini Sheets, it is a stamp on a piece of a bigger shiny paper with gum at the back.

EH, wet-a-menet (wait a minute, cakap orang Keramat).
Burung apa tu 'bang! GAMBAR bawah.

Rilek brader.
Kadang-kadang dua negara terbitkan setem bersama. Joint Issue Stamps.
Ini antaranya.

Cukuplah saya tulis.
Tengok video burung lagi syiok.... opocot! Maksud saya tengok setem-setem burung lagi syiok. Enjoy!

NEGARA kita indah dan cantik. Lihat saja setem-setem ni dah terpegun dan seronok.
Janganlah bergaduh hanya kerana burung, sampai kiamatkan negara.

Avalon Potter for ILoveToCreate Teen Crafts: Pink Sparkles Easter Bunny Ears

(Av and I were at a local store and saw these ears and we both got a pair for Easter. She decided to trick hers out and they turned out to be extra super cute! Here's her Teen Craft project for ILoveToCreate! I'm a proud momma in rabbit ears!)

Pink Sparkles Easter Bunny Ears
Avalon Potter for ILoveToCreate Teen Crafts
“Teen Crafted, Mom Approved”

I was walking through a store when I saw this adorable Easter bunny ear headband! I took it home and after I tried it on I felt it was lacking...something. So what did I do next? I headed straight to my Tulip® bins to dig up some pink glitter and Tacky Glue! Next I looked through my ribbons gathering up some that matched the sparkles, and then I grabbed some tiny pink chicks. Finally I was ready to make some super cute pink Easter bunny ears!

Materials
Tulip® Fashion Glitter Bond
Crafty Chica® Chunky Glitters™ (Frida's Fuchsia)
Aleene’s® Quick Dry Tacky Glue
Pink ribbon
Pink tiny chick
Newspaper
White fuzzy bunny ears with satin fabric inside the ear

Tools
Scissors

Instructions

1. Gather your materials and place newspapers around your workspace. Take Tulip® Fashion Glitter Bond™ and apply a thin layer inside of the ears.

2. Take your Frida's Fuchsia Crafty Chica® Chunky Glitters™ (if pink isn’t your color just use a different one from the various assortment) and sprinkle over the glue then shake it around making sure everything is covered. Shake off excess glitter and put back in container.

3. Let the glitter/glue dry for two hours. While you are waiting start on your bow.

4. Decide how big you want the bow loops to be and cut a piece of ribbon in the desired length. Place a small amount of Aleene’s® Quick Dry Tacky Glue™ in the center and fold in the ribbon ends.

5. Add another dab of glue in the center of the bow. Cut a small piece of ribbon just long enough to go around the middle of the bow.

6. Fasten the small ribbon around width of your first ribbon forming a bow and secure with a small dab of glue.

7. Use the Tacky Glue to attach the ribbon in the middle of the two ears directly in front and let dry.

8. Take the little chick and glue it on top of the headband positioned in the very middle. Allow to dry before wearing, even though you know you’ll want to wear it them right away!

Arithmetic Calculation on Population and Energy (Growth) - Dr. Albert Allen Bartlett

Albert Allen Bartlett (born 1923 in Shanghai) is an emeritus Professor of Physics at the University of Colorado at Boulder, USA. Professor Bartlett has lectured over 1,600 times since September, 1969 on Arithmetic, Population, and Energy.

Bartlett joined the faculty of the University of Colorado in Boulder in September 1950. His B.A. degree in physics is from Colgate University (1944) and his M.A. (1948) and Ph.D. (1951) degrees in physics are from Harvard University. In 1978 he was national president of the American Association of Physics Teachers. He is a Fellow of the American Physical Society and of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. In 1969 and 1970 he served two terms as the elected Chair of the four-campus Faculty Council of the University of Colorado.

Professor Bartlett often explains how sustainable growth is a contradiction. His view is based on the fact that a modest percentage growth can equate to huge escalations over short periods of time.

He regards overpopulation as "The Greatest Challenge" facing humanity, and promotes sustainable living. Bartlett opposes the cornucopian school of thought (as advocated by people such as Julian Lincoln Simon), and refers to it as The New Flat Earth Society.

J. B. Calvert (1999) has proposed that Bartlett's Law will result in the exhaustion of petrochemical resources due to the exponential growth of the world population (as per the Malthusian Growth Model).

Bartlett has made two notable statements relating to sustainability:

"The greatest shortcoming of the human race is our inability to understand the exponential function."

Dr. Bartlett explains how the exponential function applies to our finite earth. If you think life can go on forever as is you are deluded. We are like a virus devouring our host, the earth. Pay attention and you will understand why we have poison foods and wars. If the Elite's NWO master Plan for Utopia is so great then why all the wars, death, destruction, starvation, SECRECY and LIES? I see all countries are passing Gestapo style anti-terrorism laws that allow them to target people that criticize government. Thought crimes. The truth is being suppressed. You have nothing to fear but fear itself. We are like the ants driving off the elephant, we don't need a leader. The Theorem of Cognitive Dissonance holds that the mind automatically and involuntarily rejects information not in line with previously held beliefs. Keep following the Elite's script to global Armageddon and a one world dictatorship as laid out in their book, the revelations. Sycophants to authority all simply going along with it. I love that you are educating yourself but there are only a few million people awake globally at the present time. If you could think of better content for the short clips take it away. I'm just sharing suppressed information. I see a large grassroots movement growing slowly, email and internet video sharing sites as well as p2p is causing the global conscience to stir. I see family and friends physically sick from what they now see is going on. No more hiding from the facts. Wikipedia - Aspartame - Health concerns Aspartame has been the subject of controversy regarding its safety and the circumstances of its approval by the American FDA and European FSA. Some studies have also recommended further investigation into possible connections between aspartame and negative effects such as headaches, brain tumors, brain lesions, and lymphoma. These findings, combined with possible conflicts of interest involving CEO Donald Rumsfeld in the approval process, have engendered vocal activism regarding the possible risks of aspartame. Brain Tumors? Approved by Donald Rumsfeld around the same time he was shaking hands with Saddam Hussein and selling him chemical weapons with which to gas the Kurds?

A lecture on exponential growth and why it is a problem.Dr. Bartlett has given his celebrated lecture, Arithmetic, Population and Energy over 1,600 times. His collected writings have been published in the book, "The Essential Exponential! For the Future of Our Planet".

"Can you think of any problem in any area of human endeavor on any scale, from microscopic to global, whose long-term solution is in any demonstrable way aided, assisted, or advanced by further increases in population, locally, nationally, or globally?" Prof. Al Bartlett

I Love Hopping By To See How Your Day Went...

So What Did You Do Today?

Let Me See...

Was It Your Grocery Day?

Or Maybe You Took A Lunch

Break Like Me And Made A
Target Run?

Or Is Your Weather

Beautiful? Maybe You

Hopped In The Ocean?

Soaked In A Hot Tub?
(Like Princess Claudie?)

Are the Kids On Spring Break?

Did You Watch Them Hang Ten?

Or Did They Scratch Their Kicks

And Will Now Need A New Pair?

(My oldest grandson informed me

on Sunday that kicks are what they

call shoes now. I told him the only

"Kix" I know of, are little yellow puff

balls of cereal that we ate as kids.) I
laughed and he just shook his head.

Hey did any of you take up

boxing for exercise? I hear
it is great, but for me? NOT...

And I know some of my

friends have taken up

Yoga. Well I tried, and that

didn't last. I had to roll out of

this position and didn't think

I was ever going to make it up.

One of the younger gals, felt sorry

for me, she came by and gave me

a hand. Otherwise I would probably

still be camped out there waiting
to recover and find my legs again.

Oh heck, whatever you

did today? I am giving you

the BIG thumbs up.

As always,

thank you for stopping by,

my little piece of heaven,

here in the desert,

that I so love to call home.
