Aa Ab Laut Chalen!

5th July,2010
Monday
Dear Friends,
  Good Morning!
It's heavy showers and no sunshine! The atmosphere is very cold!Today is Bharat Bandh and an extended holiday to all.It is really sad that I could not attend a marriage which I was looking forward. It is today. How much tension they must have today. The thalikettu is at Guruvayoor Kalyana Mandapam  and marraige function is at Kousthubham Auditorium,Trichur. The bride resides  in Lndon and the bridegroom is working in Dubai. They will never forget their adventurous marrigae day!As the invitees can't reach the destination, they had to cancel the number of sadya per plantain leaf in the last minute.Never ever plan  a marriage on a working day![in India].
The rising prices upset the common man.
Many have started cutting down on the intaking of the must-use vegetables and non-veg.So,let us relax and enjoy on this compulsory holiday!:)This happens only in our India!
The clouds, the rains, the rhythm and the cool refreshing raindrops  and a hot cup of coffee-perfect combination for a moist morning!Normally I am in a dream world.;travelling between the real and dream world. What we have yet to attain, top the dreams.Alice is always happy and excited in her dreamworld. There she enjoys each and everything that she comes across, loves everyone, trusts all and believes life is a bed of roses.Sitting near the window, enjoying the showers, she is entering her dreamworld.:)
She is dreaming, when the raindrops fall on the rooftop,
They often play the tricks on her dreams.
On the beautiful land of konkan coast,
She is walking, holding his hand.
And the waves are wetting their feet!
The sea is calm and serene.
The lush greens and the vast sea,
Always enchanted her to the core.
Watching the sunset through his eyes,
She is lost in his  deep blue eyes.
Happiness is written on their faces.
Pulling her so closer,
Holding her by the thin waist,
Feeling the softness of the skin,
He wants to bite her ears.
And whisper to her so softly,
''You are the sweetest person I have ever met!''
When she is with him,the smell is so fresh.
She knows nothing can come between them.
She holds him so close to her;
The embrace is so warm and loving.
There is noone in the sight,
In that magnificent night!
Her long hair flows in curls and swirls
He wants to hide his face among the strands.
The moon was bright and full,
And the stars were gliitering over them!
The cool beams of  the moon
Were  reflected in the sea water.
Sometimes they listen to the splash of water,
The fishes are  jumping  after each other.
Hours together they sit and stare.,
Listening to the heartbeats go faster.
Across the seas they live,
In two different worlds of their own.
By the twilight the thoughts sail across,
And the communication is so beautiful,
Even through the deep silence!
The name came out of blue,
And she believes that is love!
Pushing the worries away,
They are ready to unwind.
They walk along the cool moist sea sand!
Hoping for a pleasant and joyous dawn!
But then she does not realise or accept,
It was only a dream,a pleasant dream!

When she is awaken, her tear filled eyes and aching heart pine for him!Sitting in the dark, lying on her back,,she knows to reach the spark at the other end of the tunnel;but it is a dark, rough path she has to tread upon!It is a real long path and she has to walk all alone. The more she thinks, the more she weeps.Looking at the horizon, she waits and hope the wait is worth. She waits for the calls just to ask her how is the day.The emptiness fills her now;may be you are away.Hugging her pillow tight, crying her heart, let her sleep to go back to her dreams.....Aa Ab Laut Chalen.
It's Anu signing off...........
More than words can say, sometimes we miss someone so badly,
Just letting you know, never miss the movie-I Hate Love Storys-this not a spelling mistake-it is spelt this way!:)[It's rocking.............]:)Sonam Kapoor and Irfan are great.
Enjoy the video-the title song.......
I know you like me......
You know I like you................
But there is another four letter word which is stronger and deeper!
Requesting you to think of others Taking a few moments of the day,
And dial the number which was always on your fingertips,
And talk a few words putting your heart and soul......
Even if you have deleted him/her from your mind,
It's never late as she /he is not deleted from this world.
Reminding you Anu loves you dil se,
Wishing you a lovely week ahead,
Before the clock atrikes twelve,
Reach out your heartbeats,
As someone else have taken them!:)

Happy Independence Day!

It's Independence Day here in the US and I'm trying my best to relax and enjoy, though that darned straw pile is ever present. Here's a video from my appearance last year on The Balancing Act with the lovely Ms. Kathy Peterson. I share a super simple and simply fabulous bracelet featuring Beadalon wire and SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS crystals. You can adapt this project to suit any day of the year as you'll see when you watch!

Happy 4th of July!

Mak oi.
Bukan sports betting saja. Bagus tu.
(Jika ditender, tentu harga lesen mahal.

Nasrudin also denied newspaper reports quoting the PAS Youth wing as “unwilling” to push for a full ban of all types of betting.
“To be clear what we mean is that we agree that all forms of gambling, betting should be banned.
“But for now we will focus our efforts on sports-betting,” said Nasrudin.

Bagus. Saya sokong!

-----------------------------------------
So how now, Pakatan?
Saya tahu Ketua Menteri Penang, Lim Guan Eng, suka bercakap tentang 'amar makruf, nahi mungkar'.
Wah orang Cina pun dah pandai cakap bahasa Islam, bangga orang PAS dengar.
Saya pun bangga sebab LGE ni baik jadi bos di Penang berbanding sebelumnya, kata orang di sana.

Jadi kerana sebahagian daripada amar makruf, nahi mungkar si muslim ialah tiada perjudian langsung, amacam bos? Di Selangor? Kedah? Set, kita tutup semua premis judi ini.
Hidup Pakatan!

It's a New Day and I'm Feeling Good! TastyLinks Saturday!

I can not control the world around me. I can not control the people whom I encounter. I can not control chaos.

The only thing I can control is the manner in which I react to these things.

Some days the tough stuff just rolls off of my back like water on a duck. Some days I could give a flying flip through a rolling donut if people aren't nice to me. Then there are those days when it just plain hurts.

Yesterday was one of those days. Today...I'm back to feeling good about the world and the people around me and the chaos I'm currently experiencing. Everything in life is about perspective. I'd rather feel it deeply and then release it than shove it down inside where it festers and bubbles. No matter what we do, there will always be those who don't like us, feel threatened, try to undermine us, try to steal our sparkle and we can either implode under the weight of these things or we can rise up and sparkle anyway. The more you put yourself out there, the more opposition you will find. The only way to thrive is to see that opposition as a thin sheet of tissue paper through which you can easily pass.

Sometimes I want to just confront these people and ask them straight up, "Why are you so afraid of me?" But I don't, because I know they don't have an answer to that question. That kind of insecurity is so deeply embedded that even the person moving from it doesn't fully understand it.

So today, I say, you can't hurt me. I wish you joy. I wish you love. I wish you the peace that comes from knowing that you are an infinitely beautiful creation, as am I. As are all of us, even those who have completely forgotten.

And on that note I shall share the infinitely beautiful creations of some of the most creative folks I know:

THE SOFTEST MELODY IN THE GENTLE BREEZE..................

1st,July 2010
 Thursday
Dear Friends,
July began with showers!Children  wearing raincoats, holding umbrellas of different colours, rush to the nearby schools. There are  two schools in the neighbourhood.I  sit in the sit out watching the students and in the evenings I stand near the gate  and find out their schools and some general news. They are amazed but answer my questions[hope they will not change the route].:)Morning I don't stop them as they are in a hurry.I love recognising the students by their uniforms.
I can hear the school bell so clearly and I get excited. Then the prayer and the principal's short speech.I think of going to the school and addressing the students.:)crazy?nah-I feel like talking to them in large number!Lunch break makes the surroundings so noisy.I can hear the shouts, louder converstaions and the merry making.Principal's instructions-''Students,go to the classes!Nobody should be seen in the ground!''It is an order and the silence prevails. The sound of the bell can be heard after each period
.And the much awaited long bell at 3.30p.m Parents will be rushing to collect their children.I am conditioned to the ringing of these bells.
I love the tinkle of temple bells.A bell is not just a sound making device. It maks holy sound. As we enter a temple we ring the bell  as it awakes the awreness. The bell is used in all poojas invoking the Gods.It produces the auspicious sound,'OM'the universal name of Lord! There should be auspiciousness within and without ,to gain the vision of God,who is all auspiciousness.
Agamaarthamtu devanaam Gamanaarthamtu rakshsaam
Kurve ghantaaravam tatra Devataahvaahna lakshnam.
Means:
I ring this bell indicating  the invocation of divinity ,so that virtuous and noble forces enter[my home and heart];
And the demonic and evil forces from within and without, depart!
We have a huge brass, gold plated beautiful bell hung at the door of the pooja room.Dasavatharan [the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu] is engraved on the bell. There are small brass bells on the door. When we open the door, all the bells together make the tinkles. It is amazing!
The huge brass bell of the church helps the people to know the time;the workers check time listening to the large sound produced by the village church bell.
I love listening to the tinkle of the bells that are hung around the cattle;the goat, the cows and the oxen. The bells help the cattle to roam freely. They don't run away or wander off without being heard. We can exactly tell where our cattle are.Ting-tang,ting-tang,ting-tang goes the little bell around their neck! They are trotting in the meadows, over the bridgeand near the river banks. Each time they move they make a huge clanging sound! They love to eat the lush green grass in the valley and on the mountains. So nice to hear the sounds! The rhythm change when they jump and run!I can visualise them right now.Bong-bang,bong-bang,bong-bang goes the bell!I want to hear them now.
Gracefully twirling in the breeze, the artistically manufactured windchime soothes my lonely mind with beautiful notes of rhyme and rhythm. The simple but elegant windchime is perfect for the porch. The tinkles are so musical to my ears! The long thin pipes gently rustle with each other  creating a breezy symphony that soothes the soul.Even the slightest breeze strats a gentle symphony.they break the silence of the day and a smile is brought to my face. The movements  produce a relaxing rhythm. The windchime is so beautiful and it  adds to the outside decor. It enhances the beauty of the entrance just by strings and pipes. No matter what the season is,they provide music as the wind blows. It is a sweet treat for your ears!If you don't have one, please hang a windchime of your choice in the garden or in the sit out.A warm hearted way to welcome guests with little soft music!:)It adds colour and beauty of the house.sunlight shines on the siver  pipes as a gentle wind-song fills the air and my mind! The music is a real blessing! The colourful ,celestial  wind chime with little yellow moon, sun and  blue stars  at the bottom looks so pretty.Day or night, the chime is a delight. The windchime casts a magical spell that brightens any ordinary day.I wakeup to the tinkling melodies.
Cheer up to the tunes of this charming chime.A fairy tale music awaits u and even the dullest day turns brighter. The humming birds  and the tinkling lullabies from the chimes gift me with peaceful day and night.Even the slight breath of breeze become a soft music.Whe strummed by breeze, this chime gives forth a serene song evocative of ancient temple bells.
Friends,
Don't you want to hear the merry tune?Don't miss the softest song in the gentle breeze. It is lovely to behold and as it is to hear!I am sure you want to experience it now.
In my neighbour's house there is a bell hanging outside at the porch  which serves as the calling bell.I like to pull the string and make sounds. It reminds me the bell of the convent which I used to  pull to call the sister teachers[nuns].It was  in my school convent.
And the cycle bell of the newspaper boy!How eagerly we used to wait to hear that bell. The most welcome guest early in the morning.:)Now the updates are at  the click of the mouse and on the television screen.Still Amma waits for the newspaper so anxiously and gets irritated when I don't read atleast the headlines.:)I will be always busy on pc at that time.
In villages, the guys used to make repeated sounds to get the attention of the girls walking ahead. This is the best vehicle that finds its way even on the narrow kuchcha  roads. The number of bells may be  a  signal too-two bells;three bells.:)Girls may be waiting for that sound of  bells which is the only music in their lives.
By the way, cycle is the best eco-friendly vehicle and many school going children use it.I love them using the cycles.
The bells of the buses, the offices and that of the ice-cream man! Many more to list!:)
It's Anu signing off.....................
Happy Doctor's Day to Madhav and Meena and to all other doctors of the world!Your service is priceless!I had dedicated a post  in last July to my dear Bro,Meena  and all other doctors.
Requesting you to have a windchime at your porch,
Celebrate life with the breeze and soft music,
Reminding Anu loves you dil se,
Wishing you a beautiful July with bright and beautiful days,
          Sasneham,
                         Anu

Finding Beauty In My Heritage...

Over the past year, I have shared many things with each of you. Today I want to share another piece of me. My heritage. Cherokee Indian. So today in "Friday's Finding Beauty" hosted by Ms Claudia @ Dippity Road I bring you a tribute to the beauty that runs through my veins. Please enjoy as I take such pleasure in sharing this beautiful gift with each of you.

Having an Indian heritage makes me so proud.
It is the gift from Grand Daddy that keeps on giving,
as I pass this on to my children, grandchildren
and future generations to come. "The Choate family."

Living here in Phoenix, I feel as though the warm winds
blow every day. Thus making this house truly blessed
from Heaven. The Great Spirit welcomes all.

With the monsoon season upon us, I so look forward
to the cleansing of the rain and the rainbows that follow,
as I feel it is Grand Daddy tapping me on the shoulder,
still giving
after 34 years of his passing.
I love you Grand Dad.

May the Eagles fly free forever. The rains flow richly
to bless our great land,
and may the lightning remind
us that God is alive and he does speak to us in

many languages.

Please take the time to go by and visit the
other blogs listed in Ms Claudia's host.
You will be blessed in so many ways.

As always, thank you for stopping by my little piece
of heaven, here in the desert, that I so love to call home.
Country hugs and love...
