A REASON TO FEEL BLESSED

18th,February,2011
Friday
Dear Friends,
                   Good Evening!
The week started on sad news and low spirits! The life of two small kids were shattered mercilessly. In the first case the boy lost his mother in an unnatural way..She had just come back home after attending haldi kumum pooja. The husband started picking up quarrel and beating her. This was a daily scene. She went inside the room and hung herself. A real tragedy! She was one mother who expressed her dreams to the teacher about her elder daughter that she should never suffer a life like hers...She wants her daughter to be educated at any cost.
In the second case the smart and cheerful boy lost his Daddy in the church.Heis full of spirits and his mother is expecting the second child.I know the father and theirs was a happy and peaceful family...
Then my colleague lost his wife. She was bedridden.Just last month their son got married and it was a grand event....
In a very tragic accident five cute and innocent kids lost their lives with their aayah when the van fell in the roadside river....It was due to overspeed of the driver...it was terrible to see the empty small chairs and the notebooks in the classroom. The teacher was crying.....the heartbroken parents who dressed up their kids and sent them to school.......Here we forget to ask God,''Why?''
As I am down with fever, cold and headache, most of the days I had to take leave.....Sickness made me gloomy and I was not in a mood to talk even with close friends...someone sent flowers...someone sent lovely Hindi songs.....
Friends sent postive energy and prayers...I was touched...They were caring..I am in their prayers....
I refused to attend calls...I knew I was hurting someone who really cares...But I wanted to be alone...the silence was comforting...Sometimes we need someone else to show what we are.It is true, but we must in proper health and mood to listen to.
But then how long? The very thought brings a transformation  and a change in attitude...
I know it too will pass....But,earlier the better.
I have to be in high spirits to cheer up my clients...
I need positive thoughts and the right kind of energy....
Somewhere someone loves me so dearly....
I live in somone's heart...
There is still comapssion,empathy and tenderness in minds;
Life is still beautiful....
Someone wants to share his/her pain with me,
Making me feel I am very much wanted.
I must have a control on my temper.
Someone really thinks I am so wonderful...
I do hear the voice of hope in my heart.
I am good at something or the other.
Fear is not going to paralyze me.
There are full chances of succeeding in my work.
Everything will turn out right.
Hope is a wonderful thing, something to be cherished and nurtured and something that will refresh us in return. And it can be found in each one of us.It brings light in our lives.Friends, never lose hope!
The grand Attukal Pongala is tomorrow in Attukal Devi Temple,Thiruvananthapuram! This temple is known as the Sabarimala of ladies.Nearly twentyfive lakhs of ladies will participate in it.
Live telecast will be on different channels.
May Goddess Bless one and all!
Wishing you a peaceful night,
And I must tell,I am feeling much better now.................

What Does Your Heart Say?

9th February,2011
Wednesday
Dear Friends,
       Good Evening!
It was not just another happy,carefree,fun-filled day for me.Clients are different and some are so difficult to handle. We try our level best to bring out the best in our clients. We believe in ,''Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier''.Someone turned out to be really happy and here is the proof.:)
Today's post is based on a mail received from one  such client.
''Many times in life, whether a thing is worth doing or not, really depends on how you look at it.
Take up all your courage
and do something your heart tells you to do
so that you may not regret not doing it later in your life.''

T aking a deep breath in and a deep breath out,
Today in this lovely evening
Let me listen to  my heartbeats carefully.
You can hear all those whispers....
  I trust you more than me;
You are the light in my life.
You've changed my world by magical words.
Please don't walk away from my life.
You've driven my nightmares away...........
I've just started living my life,
Don't tell me about right and wrong
You are the kind and priceless gift of my life..
Whoever you are,I am thankful to you!
There is no turning back.....
I am enjoying your compnay
I am feeling the cool and refreshing breeze,
You have given colours to my dreams.
Tears are formed in my eyes...
My heart tells to be with you...
Hope you will let me in....
Please accept my invitation on 14th evening,
I just want to have a memorable day in my life!
Waiting for your favourable reply......
                                  Lovingly yours,
                                   ............................
Now my dearies.........
Here  I do look for a solution...
Whether the head should rule the heart
Or the heart should should rule the head?:)

I really wish for some cool drizzles now.....

Wishing you a wonderful and beautiful night,

AN EVERGREEN FRIEND

13th,October,2010
Wednesday
Dear Friends,
A beautiful Good Evening from Thrissur-the land of Pooram!Regards from Amma and Nanda to all of you.I reached today. The train journey was really comfortable.I had a good company of ladies and they were returning from a pilgrimage to Kedar Nath,BadriNath temples. One of them was my babhi's college friend.I had to just lend my ears. And they talked non stop.
In God's Own Country,
the lush greens greeted me in the morning. The fields were full of water and somewhere I could see the fresh white water lillies.
But the rains have stopped here and it is too warm. But Thrissur is simply beautiful with so many temples  and churches. The whole city and its warmth make one so fresh and energetic. The cool breeze is really refreshing in the evening and the garden is full of various flowers like roses, mandaram, pavizhamalli pookal, kanakambaram, thechi, tulsi etc. For me flowers are of utmost importance as friends are attached with flowers. Each flower reminds me my friends. They spread happiness and fragrance.
It's Thrissur magic.:)
Thank you so much my dearies for your feedback and comments for the last post.Your words inspire me a lot and I love reaching out to you.I was telling Amma about your comments and your encouraging words. She thanks you wholeheartedly.Sucharita[Sleeping Beauty]surprised me by dedicating her new post to me-The Joy Of Giving.Thank you so much, dear.
It's really wonderful to feel the love and care of unknown people.I am blessed.
Navrathri festival has begun.Devotees will keep the books and musical instruments tomorrow evening for Pooja in front of Goddess Saraswathi.Pandals have been erected at various locations where cultural activities are held .Sunday is Vijayadashami.I love to be here for festivals. But I will be missing my daily morning visits to temple as Nanda is leaving tonight for Newyork.:(I enjoy my outings with her.She is a darling sissy who advises, guides and pampers me.[sometimes pinches too for talking while she drives].
Friends,
As we travel the journey of life,
We do meet people of different character,
Some are sent our way by God!
Talking is key to our existence.
It's always better to share our feelings.
Once you talk them out,
I'm sure we will feel much better;
Loneliness will not creep in.
At times we do feel lost,
And losing control of our lives.
Someone who is not part of the problem,
Can suggest an unbiased solution.
Learn to trust and love,
And someone will understand your point of view.

Friends are the real treasures of life.
The true friends know each other,
To share,comfort,love,trust and respect.
They add joy and subtract sorrows.
To have such a good friend,
We must be the same to someone.
I can't think of a life,
Without my dear friends.
Together we go through,
The moments of joy and sorrows.
How can I forget your support,
When I needed the most!
The distance doesn't keep us apart!
As you're always in my heart.
The gentle touch and warm embrace,
The tender smile and the soft voice,
I hold your love in my heart,
As a treasure to be cherished forever.
Many times we have argued and fought,
I knew it wasn't right;
I used to miss you a lot.
But my ego never allowed me to say the same.
But that helped us to know each other more.
But you must know,dear,
Your friendship is priceless to me.
''I made a list of evergreen friends in my life with a pencil. But when I reached YOUR name,I used a pen because I  knew I will never have to change it.''[Did you ever know?]:)
Thank you so much for being the one.
Friends,
We all need companionship and cheer and whose thoughts are always near.Be the source of inspiration and courage.
''Do not value the things you have in life, but value who you have in your life''.They are your blessings.
Feeling tired and sleepy now.For some more days I will be here.
 It's Anu signing off.........
Waiting for some showers,
Requesting you to be good listeners,
Thus helping someone to feel better,
Requesting the readers who have love for writing,
Start your blog  on Vijaya Dashami Day,
And those who have left  writing,
Please do make a come back.
May Goddess Saraswathi Bless one and all!
Reminding Anu loves you dil se,
And nothing shoud stop you to say the same.:)
Wishing you a lovely and cool night,
With sweet dreams and best wishes,
                                                     Sasneham,
                                                             Anu

ENTE KANNA.................................

Ist September,2010
Wednesday

Dear Friends,

Good Evening from Thrissur!

Happy Janmashtami!Today is the joyful celebration of Lord Krishna's birth.Major celebrations take place at midnight as Lord Krishna is said to have born at this hour. This is the time to spread the glory of Lord Krishna.

Morning we went to Thiruvamdai Temple and it was an exciting and unforgettable experience. The temple was decorated with orange and yellow marigold strands with strands of green leaves in between. The small orange coloured coconuts and plantain bunches were hung beautifully.A wonderful pookalam was done at the center of the Nada in nalamabalam. An elephant was standing outside with the mayhout on its top.As I was inside,I could not find out the name of the elephant.:)Later there was sheeveli with five elephants.

Nadaswaram was going on and it reminded me of marriage rituals and the bride and bridegroom.Live bhajans were going on.Tender coconuts[chethenga] and bunches of plaintains were hung for decoration. The whole atmosphere filled my mind with positive energy.sandalwood paste was given on plaintain leaf with tulsi leaves and lotus petals,by the priest.

Krishna was so adorable and looked so cute.Kannan was adorned with gold jewellery and floral garlands.Garlands were strung with thechi flowers and tulsi leaves. These are very special for Kannan.Lamps of various sizes were lit up.There was a huge crowd.

Devotees dressed in traditional attire stood in the queue patiently.Devotees will go to temples today to have darshan of Lord Krishna.Looking at Kannan,I felt as if the Lord Himself has condescended on earth to bless each and everyone.
Ente Kanna,I feel nice and really good,

Whenevr I am with you.

I get recharged and feel happy.

Kanna,you know I stopped asking you questions;

When you refused to answer me

When the storm uprooted me.

But I do often feel like asking you many questions

So that I get relieved.

You have made me strong with the passing days.

I surrender,my beloved at your Lotus Feet,

My pains and pleasures are your gift;

When heart aches, your melodious raga reaches me.

You know Kanna,right from childhood,

We are your ardent devotees.

We wake up having your darshan,

Praying,''Om Namo Bhgavathe Vasudeva!''

Achan always taught to chant the divine mantra

And Amma instilled the pure devotion in our minds.

I fondly remember the stories Achamma narrated.

I always admired your naughty nature.

Kanna,why do people behave strangely

Why are the freinds so selfish at times

And leaving us without a single word?
Without having any sound reasons?

But then it is always better to be away from the bondage

That has become a nightmare.

You are with me always as an invisible companion,

My ignorance and thoughtless actions;

Taught me valuable lessons.

I am grateful to you ,Kanna,

You are my strength and source of inspiration!
Friends,
   Wishing you a Happy Janamashtmai,
Praying for your peace and prosperity,
   It is Anu signing off.........
Requesting you to instil the religious and cultural values in young minds,
Hoping to build sincere and honest relations,

Promising a better and healthier bond,
                                                      Sasneham,

A WORD OF PRAISE....

5th,August,2010
Thursday
Dear Friends,
Good Evening! Thanks a lot for your appreciation and love showered on Friendship Day!I was really touched. The day was very pleasant  and it was special for me.I do  accept responsibility and I don't sidestep it.But then workload is getting more and more and coping up with job, blogging, reading other blogs make me sleep less.
Still the morning is beautiful with promising sunlight and the silent waves.I do feel the blessings by the presence of my beloved ones.Even my sparrows, crows, pigeons lift my spirit.
Morning I gave a talk on the feelings rain cause and one  thousand ears listened in pindrop silence. That is one thing I make sure. The moment I am at mike,I do need complete concentration. So,I begin with poems, quotes or songs.Audience appreciated the speech and words of praise were showered.I owe my presence of mind and confidence to my beloved parents who trained me right from school days.My day was made.Who does not need motivation and inspiration?:)In the words of the Biblical proverb of Solomon,''Like apples of gold in settings of silver is a word spoken in right circumstances''.

I would like to share a beautiful forward that reached me.

Three things in life once gone never come back.
1.Words2.Opportunity3.Time

Three things in life are never sure.
1.Dreams2.Success3.Fortune
Three things in life that make you a great person.
1.Hard work 2.Sincerity3.Success

Three things in life are most valuable

UNBELIEVABLE,BUT TRUE!

7th,July,2010
Wednesday
Dear Friends,
 Good Evening!
Happy to receive the feedback for the romantic dream!:)Who doesn't like to be in her/ his dreamworld?Rains continue to pour  day and night. There is abook exhibition going on in the city and I hope I can go and browse through the books. We hardly get a chance to attend such a huge book exhibition.
75th birthday of Dalai Lama was celebrated yesterday,on 6th July 2010,with thousands  of cheering followers in this northern Indian town where he has been living in exile since he fled Chinese rule since 1959.Under relentless rain,on Tuesday, the spiritual leader addressed a packed crowd of 5000 followers at his temple in Mc Leod Gang where he has lived since fleeing Tibet in 1959.The Dalai Lama who does not attend his birthday celebrations, made arare appearance to accept the greetings of his wellwishers.Wearind traditional costumes, the dancers performed to the beats of the folk music in front of a rain drencehed audience. He has said,''If you want others to be happy, practise compassion. If you want to be happy, pratise compassion''.
Compassion changes lives. Here is a forward I received to support this principle. This happened in Australia.
The French Magazine,''Le Magazine des vieges de peche in its 56th edition, brought up an amazing news:An astonishing Love Story.
Arnold Pointer a professional fisherman from south of Australia set free from a certain death a big female White Shark that was caught in his fishing nets. Now the fisherman has a problem;he says,''It's been two years and she doesn't leave me alone. She follows me everywhere I go and her scares all the fishes.I don't know what to do anymore''.
It is hard to get rid of an almost 17 feet long shark since the White Sharks are protected bythe wild life conservation, but a mutual affection established between Arnold and ''Cindy'.Arnold says;''Once I stop the boat ,she comes to me,she turns on her back and let me pet her belly and neck, she grunts, turn her eyes and move her fins up and hitting the water happily''...........
Amazing.........Isn't it?It reminds me the Hindi movie Ajooba[I hope this is the name]in which Amitabh stands on the sea shore and calls,''Ma......................'' and a huge shark comes up to the surface of the sea from the depth.I fondly remember the love between the hero and the shark.........the visuals are so clear even now.
Friends,
''Do what you can,for whom you can ,
with what you have and where you are''.
Love begets love.Be kind enough so that you can touch the lives of others.Make a change today.Make time to laugh and make others laugh. It is the music of the soul.
I will share a good night message with all of you.
''My life means a lot to me ,not because I love my life, but because I love the people in my life World says, they are called friends.I call them my 'World''and you live in it''.
It is Anu signing off..........
''May you always be aware you are loved beyond measure and may you be willing to love unconditionally in return''.
The night is dark and cold,
The silence is hurting,
But remember,Anu loves you dil se,
And really want to brighen your day with my heartfelt words.
So,stay tuned and keep in touch..........
                                        Sasneham,
                                              Anu

DREAMING FOR A DRUG-FREE WORLD!

25th,June 2010
Friday
Dear Friends,
             Good Evening!
Rainy days are here again! But then we get occasional sunlight,so life is cool!I thank everyone of you who offered me your friendship and I value your friendship as priceless! The kind and generous words inspire me a lot!As a blogger, when I have a platform to express my true feelings, share my thoughts and dreams,I strongly believe,I have a responsibility towards society.I dream of a society where there is unity, peace, happiness, harmony and health prevail hand in hand! The young generation can do a lot for developing a better nation.
June 26th is celebrated as Anti-Drugs Day by UNO.It is the officicial UN international Day for Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime[UNODC]leads the imternational campaign which runs from 2007-2009,is to inspire people and mobilize support for drug control! In 1987,the UN General Assembly decided to observe 26th,June as the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Iliicit Trafficking as an expression of its determination to strengthen action and cooperation to achieve the goal of an international society free of drug abuse.
I live in a society where drugs are easily available along with drinks.I know a survivor who is leading a family life abroad. But then he was given the right treatment at right time.As a counsellor I have taken interest in knowing the root causes for becoming victims to drugs.I have heard about marijuana, cocane and LSD.Parenting becomes challenging.Parents have great influence on their teens. They must take time to protect their teens from this dangerous addiction. We have only one life to live and let us don't mess it up.so,don't,''choose the booze''.
I may not be knowing you,my dear! But,I want to tell you,I DO CARE FOR YOU!you are in my thoughts and prayers!I have time to spend with you.You mean a lot to me.
Have you ever come across the frightening facts of the lives that have been shattered by using drugs?
The destructive effects of using drugs should be stressed in daily conversations. The people those who use drugs are more likely to engage in violent behaviour, stealing and join other gangs.Let us teach them to say,''I'm too good for drugs''.
The individual,family and society,
Are destroyed and spoiled forever!
The young generation use drugs in more numbers!
Self esteem is often low at this age,
Unaware of the health-risks involved,
Youngsters become the addicts!
Peer pressure may be a strong reason,
To experiment with illicit drugs!
lack of communication with parents and siblings,
The hectic life style of parents,
Lack of understanding the cause of sorrows,
The wrong selection of friends,
The computers to cellphones to i-podes,
The fast-paced culture and life style,
The stressful events and tiring situations,
Lack of awareness about the coping mechanisms
Are a few reasons to spoil a precious life!
There is no end to the long list.
Let us be careful right from now,
About the drugged, drunken state of teens,
A conversation over time is a good step,
Showing that parents do love and take care!
Take time to bridge the gap between teens and you!
Helping the teens to live a dignified life,
In a harmonious and happy society,
By mending the broken hearts,
With lots of love, care and concern!
Let us help them to forget the dark nights,
And help to see the light at the other end.
I request all of you,friends,
Say NO to drugs and drinks,
You are so dear to me and to your people!:)
Friends,
We must make the youth aware of the dangerous consequences of using drugs.''You don't need heroin to be a hero''.Let us be the part of a movement that work for a drug free society. No more lives should be shattered.Spirituality and religion will help the addicts to recover their normal life.
Remembering Michael Jackson on his first death anniversary who was the king of pop, entertainer and the bundle of talents did a lot bringing awareness about the terrific consequences of using drugs. So many popular personalities have talked about the same repeatedly. The values of healthy drug free life style should be spread wide.seminars, walks, group talks ,talk shows on television channels will be held.Friends,do something to help the teens .
It's Anu signing off............
Feeling the pain of those who have become the addicts,
Willing to wipe away the tears,
Assuring you,I will not let you fall,
Promising you,you will never be alone,
Together let us walk the long paths of life,
Reminding Anu loves  you dil se,
Requesting you to support a noble cause,
 Dreaming of a drug-free world,
                                           Sasneham,
                                                     Anu
