We hit the local weekly flea market today. My husband and I used to be quite the bargain hunters, but living in a big old school house without closets or much storage has curtailed our junking habits. Well...it’s curtailed his habits, I still seek out old paper and vintage jewelry with a vengeance. Today I bent hubby’s arm after we spied a cool cabinet on the road side and went in to investigate further. We checked out the scene and I scored some great ephemera...Victorian postcards, a vintage children’s book, a never used tracing set from the 30s with some great cartoons and we got three super deals on furniture pieces.
Since then we’ve been knee deep in potting soil. We’re getting a very late start this year...the weather wasn’t working in our favor until today. The veggies are planted, now we’re on to the flowers. I can’t wait for the part when it all starts growing. Yay! We just need to keep those pecky chickens out of everything...
