Churning of the celestial milky ocean,

By the Gods n demons.

Lord Ganesh,the symbol of auspiciousness n wisdom,

Is also worshipped on DIWALI.

And destroyer of evils n obstacles,

As teh God of education of knowledge n wealth.

Rangolis adorn most doorsteps on this day.

People spend a lot of money on fireworks.

The sound is an indication of joy;

Making the Gods aware of their plentiful state,

The fumes produced by the crackers,

Will kill a lot of insects,

During Diwali,everyone gets up early,

And takes an oil bath,

After doing Lakshmi Pooja,

Special rangolis are put,

The designs n vibrant colours,

Keep the evil spirits at bay.

Diwali is the grand festival,
With religious rituals n colourful ceremonies;

It is celebrated with great gaiety n fervor,

And it symbolises unity in diversity.

It is the day Lord Krishna slayed the demon,Narakasur.

It is the time for family get togethers.

Of the demon Narakasura by Lord Krishna n Satyabhama.

It is not afestival of noise!:)

DIWALI symbolises teh victory of goodness over evil.

Let us do Lakshmi Pooja for prosperity,material abundance n spiritual upliftment.Devi is worshipped to remove troubles that prevent us from starting a spiritual path or business.a special worship is offered to Devi annually on this auspicious day of Diwali.Lord Ganesh is one of the five five prime Hindu deities -Brahma,Vishnu,Shiva and Durga being the other four-whose idolatry is glorified as the Panchayatana Puja.

Planning celebrations one year ahead! cool.and u know what,US President Barack Obama prayed after lighting an oil lamp to celebrate Diwali as Hindu Priest Sri Narayanachar Digalakote recited mantras in the east room of the White House in Washington.great!
