Corruption - Malaysia ranking falls, Indonesia rises

Another blow to Malaysia - its corruption perception ranking fell to 56, from 47.
Actually I don't quite know how come things became so bad, perception wise.
But I hope the government instead of pooh-poohing it - like during Mahathir Mohamad's and Abdullah Badawi's time - would say something like: We accept the ranking, we're not happy, but we're trying to improve things.

Transparency International said Indonesia's ranking improved a lot! To 111 from 126 the previous year.
President Esbeyye's been trying to reform and talking hard to change the way things work.
As I had written several times, Indonesia seems to have a better story to tell investors seeking to plunk their money in Southeast Asia. See here and here.
Comparison of Malaysia's and Indonesia's stories here.

Position of Singapore? From 4th to 3rd.
