Attracting wrong headlines in 'the Malaysian story'

As I said here, why are Malaysian government leaders, and PAS leaders, trying to hurt the name of the country by saying and doing the wrong things?
By actually giving a licence for people to demo, albeit inside mosques.
Never before has this happened - since I got to know Malaysians and Malaysia in 1994 when I was posted to KL to work.

And why is PAS wanting to hold a demo at an embassy on a day when the brave and sensible thing to do is to calm people down.
See what has happened now.

Yes, we don't know whether the burning of a church in Taman Melawati is really linked to the 'Allah' controversy.
But in the minds of everyone, including the foreign media, it is already linked.
Stories have already been written as if it is linked to the issue. And linked to the demos that have been given the licence in a few hours' time inside mosques.

When you have political leaders seemingly condoning certain actions, instead of calming the ground, you are playing with fire.
And you seem to encourage others to play with fire. Literally.
Is this what everyone wants as 'The Malaysian story'?

Damn it.
