Dear Friends,

You all knew we had onam celebrations which lasted for one month.the grand concluding ceremony was on 2nd October,in Vidyadhiraj hall.the pookalam competition was in the hall in first floor.judges had a tough time in judging the most beautiful pookalam.anyways it was a feast for the eyes n mind.there was an awesome cultural show presented by eleven different associations in the state.we have the real talented blooming artists.palada prathaman was distributed to all the invitees n an onam kit was gifted to each n everyone which consisted of banana chips, sarkara upperi[sweet banana chips],halwa piece n boiled banana.
the first prize for the best pookalam was Rs.7000 n atrophy with a rolling trophy, second prize,Rs.5000/-n third prize was Rs.3000/-Each participant[ a group of 4]received Rs.500/-n a trophy.pravasis were really inspired n they worked hard to be the winners.all were in high spirits.it was really thoughtful of the organisers to arrange the theyyam n shingari melam from kannur.they presented an unforgettable event of the show.we hardly get a chance these traditional art forms in Kerala.
this week is going to be real tough for me as the higher authorities are arriving tomorrow n it is appraisal time, guys.i just can't accept anything less than excellent; that means i have to sacrifice my sleep n rest n ofcourse new posts.but the problem is i just can't be away from you, hence this photo post, for a change.

the local people enjoyed the most colourful festival with eats n shows.:)ladies wore the traditional kasavu mundu n veshti well decked with jewellery n jasmine flowers on plaited hair.the ambience was excellent.
