Last Tuesday, Oct 6, while I was busy in Sumatra Barat covering the quake, my son was inducted into Singapore's National Service.
Isa Nasarudin Reme is 21 (or put another way, Yes aku dah tua).
He will serve for two years, getting an allowance of Sing400 (RM920) a month.
He has been inducted to serve in the Singapore Civil Defence Force.
The good thing is, he will be allowed to go home every weekend.
He cannot yet balik kampung to KL during the first three months.
