Amy Update - Wednesday August 26th

This will be the last update I post for awhile. Our hearts are very heavy right now, and we just ask you to remember us in prayer. Yesterday Amy had an appointment in Enid with her oncologist. Dr. Dexius told Amy, Debbie and Richard yesterday that the tumor is now to large, and they can no longer do chemo. We have traveled the road as far as we can go. There is nothing more they can do for her. Daddy and Moma ordered a hospital bed for Amy, it will be delivered today. Debbie can do the trach care and the peg tube care much better with a hospital bed. The State insurance would not pay for one.

Several of you sent money to Debbie and Richard for Amy, I want you to know that the food that Amy eats to sustain her through her peg tube is not covered under the state assistant insurance, so they were able to buy a case of food with this money. Each case feeds her for (4) days. Thank you for your kindness and your prayers, they are so appreciated.

Several of you have also asked about Hospice coverage for Amy. Hospice will not be coming to the house as Amy has said if something happens to her, and her heart stops, she wants to be recessitated. Because of this Hospice will not get involved.

Our family is so devistated at this time, we just ask you to pray for comfort for Amy, Debbie and Richard. Give them the strength that they need to travel each winding road as they come to it, and allow them the strength to push forward each day. We love each and every one of you.

Amy has gotten so many heart felt wishes here on this blog, and she cannot see them. I would like to ask you to send her Get Well Cards, Thinking of You Cards, Love You Cards. Fill her mail box with love. Here is the home address prayer warriors. Lift her spirits and Debbie could use a few herself.

I thought cards would be nice, Debbie could post them all over her room, and give her love to look at. I love you all for your prayers, your love and your concern for all of us. You truly are our prayer warriors. I don't need to tell you what to pray for now, you all know.

All my love, Country Hugs, Sherry
