DO U HAVE ROSE TO GIFT?

Dear Friends,

Good evening!it's a cloudy sky.we expect rain tonight.it's cold.looking forward to the weekend as i will get two days holidays.:)thinking about the holidays i can work more.we have two Onam sadya on saturday n sunday with cultural programme n pookalams.wow!pravasis are lucky as Onam celebration extends for one full month.

since Teacher's Day it's raining roses,greetings n gifts from my clients.my day was made just by the different coloured roses,the fresh sweet smelling roses!and when the rose fades,i collect the petals n keep in between the pages of books.and i look at them daily n feel happy.they come in all colours,white,red,pink,yellow orange!

when my vases are full of roses,i thought of writing a post on them.jasmine is my favourite flower and the second place goes to rose.the first roses attracted my attention were at my Achan's house.the rose shrub in the middle of the courtyard was full of pink roses.and even now i can visualise the flowers with the enchanting fragrance!in the evening i used to count n keep the buds which were going to bloom the next day!and in the morning i used to run n count the fully bloomed roses!we used to pluck roses for the daily pooja.when i think of my Achan's house first the rose bush comes to my mind.

when i was in eighth class,i had a friend called Geetha.she was so fair,beautiful with long hair n sweet smile.one day she gave me a red rose n that was my first gift of a red rose.for months i kept that with me even after drying.each time when i looked at the petals,i felt her love n friendship.she is settled in trichur now.

kishen is so fond of roses.whenever a cartman goes along the road with pots of roses,kishen used to ask for the plants.as we leave here thrice for kerala,we could never have plants n flowers.

now in my office,in the compound we have two beautiful rose gardens.and now the plants are full of various coloured roses.what a soothing sight!

many times we are gifted with roses on different occasions like birthdays,weddings, to offer for the pooja in temples,for valentine's day and at the most memorable moment of being proposed.the depth,intensity n type of relation is revealed by the colour of the rose given.the white rose symbolises purity,innocence and unconditional love-to God,parents n siblings.yellow roses symbolise joy n friendship.red rose symbolises love n passion.

here i remember one of my readers from the middle east.she sent a mail arguing about something and i replied.the next day when she was cool n composed,she sent me a yellow rose asking for my friendship.so i sent her two yellow roses;but later she never reached me.:)

the rose in my childhood is related to chachaji.Nehruji's personality is incomplete without a rose in the buttonhole of his sherwani.in fancy dress n drawings we never forgot that rose in the buttonhole.in our ancestoral house many family photos decorated the wall in the poomukham[sit out].along with them the photos of great national leaders were also placed.so,from very young age we were familiar with Gandhiji,nehruji n all.only Nehruji had a rose on the buttonhole.

i fondly cherish a song,amma used to sing on the dialogues of a rose n a lotus of an arguement which is the queen of flowers.amma sings melodiously and after many years ,just now while writing this post i asked amma to sing it again.wow!the same old song in Amma's sweet voice!it's a beautiful song malayalam teaching us many values.:)

the trip to Ooty with madhav n family,is unforgettable!we landed up at the right time of flower show!My God!in that cold weather,with my little star n kishen we could see hundreds of small n huge bright n beautiful multi coloured roses!like Alice in wonderland,i was amazed!what a feast to the eyes!still ican see the cabbages in the garden,the gifts of nature in a wonderful way!we were in the valley of flowers!just the moemories bring spring to my heart!:)

i love roses n i know you too,

irrespective of the colour n size.

for me a rose is just not a rose,

when i give it someone dear.

a rose says thank you very much,

for being so kind n caring.

a rose says,you have done it;

and now you have achieved the goal.

start dreaming higher now

as i love to give you more roses.

a rose says i miss u a lot,

your presence is always inspiring;

and once you get this rose,

come back to me,

as you make a difference which others don't.

a rose says i'm sorry,dear;

i never meant to hurt you;

how can i do that dear;

when my world has shrunk to u.

a rose says,get well soon,

your health is more important!

when you receive this rose from me,

be cheerful n pink in health.

a rose says good bye for ever;

i tried my level best to keep cool;

still when you didn't listen;

i must send you softly away,but with a rose!

a rose says Happy Teachers Day,

roses convey the true feelings,

of love n respect in life.

more roses ,more appreciation,

and it brings a smile too!

a rose says,hello,i'm there for you;

never lose your heart or feel low;

anu will be always with you.

and the red rose says,I Love you,

bowing when you said that;

and gifted the most beautiful red rose,

i was crying with tears of joy,

and it is a treasured keepsake;

nothing says,I Love you, like a rose!:)

and now i really wish let the sky rain roses of all coloures,

so i can tread upon the soft n sweet smelling petals,

n reach my prince charming!

and a beautiful bright coloured carpet of red roses

is spread for you with utmost care n love,

i hope you can hear the heart beats which are faster! :)

once in our life,when the mind wanders n we reach the someone special,do gift the most beautiful rose n the fragrance remains in the hearts forever!please see that the thorn won't prick you n your friend.
